There are a number of information plaques in and around the Lower Ouseburn Valley on buildings and structures such as bridges and pubs etc.

Gladstone Adams 1880 – 1966
Inventor and Photographer.
Invented the car windscreen wiper in 1911.
He was born 16th May 1880 at 4 St Anne’s Row, close to the Ouseburn Mission which occupied this building from 1869.
